Author avatars are a weird thing in that, because they're the author in sprite/drawn/etc form, they should have access to all the juicy details of the plot. However, if they know everything, and they're a gentle-natured or kind-hearted or something similar sort, then they could just preemptively stop everything from happening by either warning the cast or stepping in themselves. So to have a plot, you either have to have an asshole author who doesn't step in... or withhold information from yourself. I picked the latter, and it's confusing as heck. It essentially made Niv a character in the comic, who represents me, who is Niv, but is also the author, but---
...you see my problem here.

Wait wait wait wait wait. So Sanctum's wish caused EVERYONE in ALL WORLDS to fall asleep? I just kinda thought that it only affected that world. So somewhere out there, let's say Kirby is fighting a waddle-doo. They both just kinda collapse and stay there? What if there was a time limit on the mission Kirby is doing? Does everyone on Pop Star just explode and die?
Also random blue thing in RP!Ket's hand.

Anx's theory is basically correct.
Ark's magic as a genie is strong, but not that strong. Sanctum specified "Everyone", but there's no way Ark's magic would have been able to put literally everyone in the multiverse to sleep, so it just went with the next best thing.
(Speaking of which - I doubt this will ever be explained so I'll just take care of it now - Ark is a moderately free genie in that Grudge's wishes upon finding her were basically "Turn me into a guy", "Get us somewhere safe" (as the temple where Ark's lamp rested's traps were on their tail), and then finally... "I wish that you were my personal genie, having all the benefits of being free but still retaining all of your current power, and being bound to me in the sense that my wishes are the only ones you'll grant unless otherwise specified that the person's wish has my approval, that there will be no limit to how many wishes I make in the future but you'll know when to use discretion and not grant something I wish for if it's not actually intended to be a wish, and that this particular wish's specifics and schematics can be changed through further wishes made in the future." Due to this, when Grudge told Ark to "go ahead and grant" Sanctum's wish, she didn't have a choice once she heard what it was.)
Anyway - the wish's effect was based on who heard (or otherwise perceived, deaf people who read lips is a thing) the wish being made and then subsequently granted. In other words - everyone at Freefire Square who was watching the award ceremony got put to sleep; plus Niv who was watching through her computer in World [W]. As stated here, it would have hit RP!Ket too, but Jax was able to stop that from happening.
AND I WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO USE THE AUTHOR COMMENTS TO EXPLAIN THIS NONSENSE IF I HADN'T BEEN AFK DEALING WITH HER FLUFFING BUBBLEGUM I SWEAR TO-

@Shard: I've chosen the later too, hence why my only in-comic apparitions doesn't give out any information to the cast (also, memory-wiping exist, too).
Also, it's simple logic: Everyone who somehow perceived (be it by watching, watching through a screen, or reading lips and/or facial expressions) what Sanctum said would fall asleep.
